About Yegua Target Company, LLC:
The first target was dubbed the Uni-Target, and was a brainstorm between Scott York and Warren Williamson during a field target squad discussion while shooting the BlueGrass 100 match. Scott was lamenting the lack of availability of highly styled field targets with a mechanism that would survive years of club match abuse. Warren agreed and an idea was born, build a professional quality robust target mechanism with unique target faces. Scott with his artistic and photographic skills would handle the faces, assembly and retail sales and Warren would design and debug the mechanism. The features laid out from the start were:
• Use premium quality materials and a robust design to survive long hard use.

• The target should be sensitive enough to go down on sub 12ft-lb hits.

• The mechanism should stand alone, any face plate can be attached to it.

• The reset lever is high and long to make it easy to reset.

• The mechanism folds as flat as possible to assure you can tell when it’s down.

• The base is big and stable, with lots of hole options for staking or screwing it down.

• It is designed and assembled so it can be serviced if it ever needs it.
While we all like handcrafted wood on our stocks, Handcrafted is not what you want in a field target mechanism. This mechanism is built like a Swiss tank, if there is such a thing.

Warren uses Solidworks CAD in his day-job so the entire mechanism was worked out with the precision of a professional computer design tool. All of the metal fabrication is done locally in Texas using the latest laser metal fabrication tools. The paddle has been lightened to allow for a low inertial mass, which makes it easy to knock over with sub 12 ft lb guns.
